Adrian Finighan Career
After working at a small radio station in Norwich, Finighan joined the BBC in 1988 as a reporter and producer at BBC Local Radio. Later, he went to national radio, where he worked as a newsreader on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2, as well as an occasional presenter of the latter station’s nighttime shows in the later years when the station’s newsreaders were utilized in this capacity. Following that, he transitioned into television news by joining the BBC’s Business Unit, where he also hosted Newsroom South East. He then became a frequent broadcaster on the international news channel BBC World News, as well as on BBC News 24 in the United Kingdom. He left the BBC in early 2006 to work for CNN International, where he remained until 2010. He also co-owns a business with his brother. Finighan had a brief cameo as a news announcer in the film V for Vendetta.
