Bob Chapek’s journey to becoming Disney’s CEO – Career
Mr. Chapek went on to work at H. J. Heinz Company in the brand management department after finishing his studies. He worked for J. Walter Thompson, which is now Wunderman Thompson, at the same time. He began his career with The Walt Disney Company in 1993. His Disney career began when he was named unit president of Buena Vista Home Entertainment, a division of Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment. Since joining the organization in 1993, he has worked at the unit.
Chapek held the post of unit president until 2006, when he was promoted to Disney’s global head of home video, a position he held until November 2009. Chapek was the president of Walt Disney Studios’ distribution for the next two years.
