Amelia Vega (full name: Amelia Victoria Vega Polanco; sometimes known as Amelia Vega Horford) is a Dominican Republic model, beauty pageant winner, singer, and actress. In 2003, she was crowned Miss Universe. She was the first-ever Dominican entrant to win Miss Universe when she was crowned. At the age of 18, Amelia also became the youngest Miss Universe winner since 1994. Ms. Amelia also retains the distinction for becoming the tallest Miss Universe ever, at 1.88 meters tall (6 feet 2 inches).
