Charlie Clifford WISH-News – Career
Clifford started his broadcasting career while still a student at Miami University, working as a play-by-play announcer for basketball, baseball, and football on the Miami Student Radio Network, commonly known as RedHawk Radio. He was also a student sports columnist and a sports anchor/broadcaster for MUTV. He was also the host of the “Midwest Bias” radio show in the United States. After graduating from high school, he interned at CBS Local 12 as a sports intern from December 2013 to May 2014. Charlie was in charge of editing, producing, and writing pieces for Local 12 Sports, alongside Brad Johansen and Jed DeMuesy.
Clifford joined WGN Radio in Chicago, Illinois, in 2014 as an Associate Producer.
He stayed with WKBT News 8 in La Crosse, Wisconsin for a few months before moving on. Charlie would work for the station as a Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter.
