Fox is a US-based meteorologist who works for Fox News. He has more than 30 years of experience in the field, including 27 years at WTNH in New Haven, Connecticut, where he started in 1984 and held the position of senior meteorologist until 2011. Later, he was employed by WTIC-TV in Hartford, Connecticut, as the 5:00 and 11:00 p.m. meteorologist on weekdays.
In addition, he reported on science and technology items for the 4:00 p.m. program and aired a gardening segment called “Geoff’s Garden.” In May 1984, he started working as a meteorologist for the New Haven, Connecticut, television station WTNH, where he was promoted to “senior meteorologist.” He started anchoring the Syfy program Inside Space while still employed by WTNH.

Fox left WTNH in 2011 after 27 years there after learning that his contract would not be renewed. His resignation from WTNH received widespread media coverage due to the devoted viewers of the station and his extended employment. In April 2011, Fox affiliate WTIC-TV engaged him to host nighttime weather and science shows.

The broadcaster claims that Fox was fired after 19 months for “inappropriate conduct.” As a result of the problem, Fox lost over 2000 Facebook followers. Later, he established an online website design and development company. Fox served as KMIR-TV NBC 36’s nightly meteorologist in Palm Springs from January 2015 till September 2015.

In an announcement made on 19 August 2015, he stated that he would be the on-air meteorologist for “News Channel Nebraska’s first station in Norfolk.” He provides forecasts for News Channel Nebraska from his indoor weather station in his home studio.
