Willis was formerly the personal finance editor for CNN, where he hosted the weekly half-hour show “Your Bottom Line,” which focused on money-saving tips and the economy’s influence on personal finances. Before joining CNN, she worked as a senior financial correspondent for Smart Money magazine. She joined the Fox Business Network in March 2010 and has since appeared on all of the network’s shows. Willis’ business writings include “The Smart Money Guide to Real Estate Investing” and “Home Rich.” She also received the American University School of Communication and the Investment Company Institute’s Education Foundation awards in 2001.
Breast cancer
After discovering an abnormality and meeting with her doctor in April 2016, Willis was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2016. She went on to say that fighting cancer has been a blessing in her life and that it has helped her reconnect with her faith. On January 28, 2020, Willis announced that she will be taking a medical leave of absence to undergo cancer surgery.
