Juliet Dragos WZZM TV Career

Juliet is also the station spokesman for WZZM 13’s “Friends for Life” campaign, which encourages women to do monthly breast self-exams in order to discover breast cancer early. She launched the “Friends for Life” campaign in 1997 and has served as the emcee and honorary co-chair of the “Race for the Cure” for over 15 years.

She also volunteers with  the Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan, Special Olympics Michigan, Catholic Charities West Michigan,  the Michigan Brain Injury Association, and the American Cancer Society’s “Relay For Life,” among other organizations. She is particularly committed to programs that support families in West Michigan.

Juliet is now the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Special Olympics Michigan. She was on the board of directors for the American Red Cross Blood Services Division – Great Lakes Region. In 2013, the Michigan Chapter of the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences nominated Juliet for an Emmy Award for her work as a news anchor. Juliet was inducted into the Western Pennsylvania Alumni Hall of Fame in 2009. She was nominated for the “Athena Award,” which recognizes women who help and encourage other women in their careers.
She’s also been honored by the “Brain Injury Association of Michigan” for her many years of volunteer work in raising awareness of patients and families affected by brain injuries. She’s also received the “Outstanding Media Award” from Special Olympics Michigan twice, the “Local Hero Award” from Grand Rapids Komen for the Cure, the “Professionalism Award” from American Women in Radio and Television, and the “Outstanding Media Award” from Special Olympics Michigan once. Juliet has been included in magazines including “Outstanding Young Women of America” and “Who’s Who in America.” Juliet is a native of Pittsburgh and an avid supporter of the Steelers and Lions in the National Football League. Juliet enjoys ballroom dancing and traveling.
