He started off as a sports journalist who covered football. As a result of his devotion, he has published four books and produced 80 videos about the history of “ftbol” in Mexico.
Since 1997, Krauze has covered American politics for both American and Mexican news outlets. Bush’s first five years in the administration were chronicled in his book “La Casa Dividida,” published in 2005. Among the politicians Krauze has interviewed are Juan Manuel Santos, Felipe Calderón, Nick Clegg, Shimon Peres, Enrique Pea Nieto, and Barack Obama.

His work has appeared in publications such as Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, Newsweek, the Los Angeles Times, El Pas, and Letras Libres. He presently contributes to The Daily Beast, writes a weekly column for El Universal in Mexico, and hosts Slate’s Gabfest en Espaol podcast.
